Yemen was a turning point for me in terms of traveling to the least visited countries in the world. If I’m being honest I was in over my head… Yemen is going into the 4th year of violent war and the situation there is considered to be one of the worst humanitarian crises in modern history. When I hear about the horrific experiences the Yemeni people have lived through my heart aches. It makes me question so much about our existence and how we can individually create a bigger impact and ignite change. I’m often left feeling helpless because I don’t know the solutions to these complex problems. Thank you #Country127 for showing me that despite the hardships these people face, genuine kindness and generosity prevails. I’m humbled.

I traveled alone for almost 5 months last year. I had so much time to learn how to be comfortable with myself in uncomfortable situations. It opened up so many opportunities for me to do things and meet people I wouldn’t have if I was traveling with other people. I definitely think traveling alone is something that every person should do once in their lives because its such a powerful catalyst for personal growth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That being said, there’s nothing more fun than traveling with people you love. The stoke you share with someone when you finesse a crazy situation or get to an incredible view is out of this world. I have so many memories that no one else will ever be able to relate to because I was alone which is really special but with Brynn, for example, it’s different. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We’ve been creating travel memories for a long time & it’s taken our relationship to a deeper level. I’m grateful we’ll get to remember all these indescribable moments when we’re old. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you prefer traveling solo or with friends?

La joven relata que la mayoría de sus viajes han sido autofinanciados con su trabajo y a través de tratos comerciales con marcas, compañías y establecimientos.

Nothing but LOVE from every country in the world!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I started traveling, I never imagined that so many wonderful people would come along on my journey. Now it feels like YOU all are right here with me. I’m so humbled and grateful for that. There’s so many parts of the world that are completely off the radar for most tourists. Because of the media, people assume that places like these are off limits due to conflict and security threats. I hope by sharing my experiences that I can help encourage people to think twice about misunderstood countries. There really is so much KINDNESS everywhere! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Countries included in this post: #Madagascar, #Turkmenistan, #SaudiArabia, #Guinea, #Pakistan, #Jordan, #Uganda, #Ethiopia, #IraqiKurdistan & #Uzbekistan.

“Hago mucha investigación por adelantado para encontrar las mejores ofertas, utilizar puntos y millas para mis vuelos, hospedarme en alojamientos económicos como hostales o crear contenido para hoteles a cambio de alojamiento”, relató.

Durante sus viajes, Alford se ha enfrentado a diversas dificultades para acceder a algunos países como problemas con la visa, el idioma o infraestructuras turísticas.

Tras concluir su travesía por el mundo, Lexie planea escribir un libro sobre sus vivencias, destacó RT.

Misunderstood creatures 🐍 I honestly did a terrible job planning my trip in Sri Lanka. I usually try to get away from cities and tourist traps to get a more authentic feel for the country I’m visiting. Choosing the path less traveled can occasionally/inevitably lead to unexpected complications, wasted time and frustration. Sometimes we miss once in a lifetime opportunities. Sometimes our experiences don’t live up to the expectations we created in our minds. And that’s to be expected! Being able to accept that things didn’t go the way you wanted them to and making the best of it anyway is a really important life lesson traveling has taught me. This photo reminds me that even mistakes can result in something awesomely unexpected😊

What are 3 defining moments in your life? As someone that goes through tons of phases, both positive and negative I thought this could be fun. Here’s a few of my turning points: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. The day I passed my exams to skip Junior & Senior years of high school. 2. Bungee jumping in Switzerland the summer after I graduated from college.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. The very first time I thought about breaking the world record for the youngest person to travel to every country ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve got a pretty huge life achievement coming up with visiting my last country (!!) which I already know is going to change so much in my life. This photo may be a hint about the first place I’m going back to after I break the record 😉
